The AI glasses industry is experiencing rapid growth and attracting strong market interest, with a wave of new product releases this year. On January 2, consumer-grade AR brand RayNeo signed a strategic agreement with Alibaba Cloud, establishing an exclusive partnership in the AI glasses sector. This marks the first deep customization collaboration between a domestic large AI model company and a hardware manufacturer.
At CES 2025, major tech companies showcased their latest AI glasses products. Ping An Securities predicts that with more players entering the market, AI smart glasses will see a surge in new product launches in 2025.
According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), global shipments of AI glasses are projected to reach 12.8 million units in 2025, representing a 26% year-over-year growth. The Chinese market is expected to account for 2.8 million units, reflecting a 107% increase. Forecasts from Wellsenn XR indicate that annual sales of AI smart glasses will reach 55 million units by 2029 and could surpass 1.4 billion units by 2035.
AI glasses offer two key advantages: first, they free users’ hands; second, they integrate multiple device functionalities. With advancements in chip technology and AI applications, future AI glasses are expected to feature enhanced capabilities, improved comfort, and more affordable pricing.
