THE LITHIUM BATTERY AND PHOTOVOLTAIC INDUSTRIES ACHIEVED DOUBLE-DIGIT GROWTH IN MULTIPLE INDICATORS IN 2024.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China announced on February 27, 2025, that in 2024, both the lithium battery and photovoltaic industries achieved double-digit growth across multiple metrics. The lithium battery sector maintained its growth momentum, with a total production of 1,170 GWh, marking a 24% year-on-year increase, and the industry's total output value surpassed 1.2 trillion yuan. Driven by the rapid development of industries such as new energy vehicles and advanced energy storage solutions, the installed capacity of lithium batteries grew by 48% year-on-year, exceeding 645 GWh.

Data from the Ministry also indicated that in 2024, China's photovoltaic industry saw continuous growth across major segments of its supply chain. The production of polysilicon, silicon wafers, cells, and modules each experienced year-on-year increases of over 10%, with the industry's output value maintaining a scale of over one trillion yuan. In terms of exports, photovoltaic cells and modules saw growth rates of over 40% and 12%, respectively.

Considering these advancements, industry professionals are encouraged to attend C-TOUCH & DISPLAY SHENZHEN 2025, Asia's premier B2B technology trade show for advanced display and smart touch solutions. Scheduled from Oct. 28 to 30, 2025 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center (Bao'an), the event will showcase new products and technical innovations in the industry.

This event offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore innovations in touch displays, printing, packaging, labeling, daily chemicals, and plastic packaging, and semiconductors, and to connect with top industry manufacturers and buyers. Pre-registration now for free tickets:
